What is citizen journalism all about?
Citizen journalism is viewed as sharing and dissemination of information by people who are common civic persons concerned with various issues and wish to express themselves.

Citizen journalists are not professional or certified journalists but have the skill to write reasonably to express their point of view to improve society by providing alternatives or making themselves and fellow citizens heard.

Citizen journalism is fast becoming the basis of democracy that encourages  common citizens to actively participate in social processes and express themselves about ground reality.

According Jay Rosen of the Wikipedia advisory board, when the people formerly known as the audience employ the press tools they have in their possession to inform one another, that's citizen journalism.

At times citizen journalism is criticised for lack of credibility due to biased reporting.  Nonetheless, it provides the point of view of audience. Some citizen journalists evolve themselves since they can blend the voices of common people for providing the new or counter point of view,
