Making Right to Education a reality in India
Despite the Right to Education Act in place, it seems that the rights of children are not being met with. Since children do not have a voice, nor any support to convey their feelings.

"There is no awareness about the provisions since no training of teachers has been done at the school level to understand the Act and its implications," said a well-meaning teacher Prabha Kishore of Jaipur.

There is a need for school based reforms and the school management committees should be empowered to implement the Act in their catchment area. The micro-planning for school catchment is required along with alternative education centres so that every child's educational right is accorded and safeguarded.

Also, home school education system should be encouraged with proper curriculum planning and training of parents, caregivers and community members for educating pre-primary and primary level kids. This will allow the community groups to provide culture-linked and emotionally-charged learning environment to children in their formative years.

Multiple ways and approaches with linkage to mainstream education with appropriate stake of the parents and local community in elementary education can secure the access to elementary education, I think.
